Rob Gear, Premier Martial Arts, Budo Jitsu, self defence and fitness

Our Mixed Martial Art program teaches you how to escape holds and grabs using techniques such as throws, joint locks and submission. These defenses are most useful in close-range altercations and situations that end up on the ground in real life. It is a unique combination of kickboxing and submission grappling that makes Rob Gears Budo-Jitsu a true Mixed Martial Art, be it self defense or for sport and fitness. Rob Gear’s unique fusion of all three will provide you with the knowledge to defend yourself in virtually any situation.

Learn the awesome fighting combinations of Budo-Jitsu's Close Quarter Combat grappling, ground fighting strategies and innovative concepts. Learn how to explode into your opponent and take him to the ground with follow up chokes, leg locks, arm locks, and submission holds.

These offensive and defensive combinations will have your opponent tapping within seconds, giving you instant victory and making your opponent ineffective.

Pankration, is the father of modern mixed martial arts and has been around for thousands of years. It was an Olympic sport in ancient Greece from 648 BC to 393 AD. It includes boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and submission techniques both standing and on the ground. A contest is decided on submissions i.e. taps, or verbal surrender, or on points at the end of the allocated time. It is said that Pankration was spread to the world by the armies of Alexander the Great, during his conquests. Pankartion in Australia is a growing martial sport, and is governed by Australian Federation of Pankration.
