This is the decade of terrorism, violent assault, kidnapping, extortion, hostage taking, murder and assassination, - a sound testimony for our troubled social climate. People are turning to a capable specialist to give them what the times demand.

Over the past thirty years, the Martial Arts community has seen a number of shifts in popularity between the different styles. In the 1970s, Kung Fu and Bruce Lee was the rage. In the 1980s Tae Kwon Do and Ninjitsu burst forth. The fitness industry then embraced Tae Bo and various clones, as the premier way to get fit in the 1990s; whilst Brazilian Ju-Jitsu dominated the fight scenes. So what's in store for the new millennium.

There is a growing trend towards
Real-Life Scenario Training or what the Americans have termed Reality Training. The type of training that favors practical no-nonsense solutions to the real attacks you're likely to face. The traditional katas and weapons, repetitive kick and punch drills have been replaced with hand to hand close quarter combat drills. Emphasis is placed on simplicity and speed with devastating results. Students are taught principles more so than a specific counter to an attack. Students are then free to experiment and find what works for them. |
|
Budo-Jitsu's awesome, powerful, devastating and effectiveness has become the system that will change the way that people view martial arts.
Budo-Jitsu is more than just a hands on self defense, it incorporates the very best of many fighting systems from The Russian Special Forces (Spetsnaz) Martial Art – Systema, Combat pressure point system-Kyusho, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Philippines, Brazilian, Military and Asian Combat arts. All attacking and counter attacks have been proven within many conflicts throughout the world. Budo-Jitsu teaches the individual to be ruthless, elusive and totally unpredictable whilst emphasing on simplicity and speed giving you the mental edge combined with a never give up, never lose will to win attitude. |
| The system is scientifically based on proven concepts of real combat, together with universal principles of physics, biomechanics, physiology and psychology using a combat proven system of physical, tactical, and mental techniques unequaled anywhere. All tactics employed within Budo-Jitsu are based upon instinctive reactions, individual strengths and limitations and are specifically designed for fast learning. |
|
Consistency makes the system quick and easy to learn, and more importantly, easy to remember . This type of training has made it possible for the world's elite military units to produce highly skilled individuals in relatively short periods of time. Whether you're on the ground or standing, being attacked from the rear or the front, facing a firearm, stick or a knife, the core concepts remain the same. Much more is laid out in one easy to follow instructional module giving you a simple, effective and realistic first line of defense for the street.
INSIGHT
This system of combat is natural and free. Without rigid structure, strict rules or limitations. This practical and deadly form of combat combines an individuals strong spirit with extremely clever and versatile tactics that will work in any circumstances and against any aggressor.
Students are shown variations of the technique and may even come up with their own variations. It's more important that a student be able to do something that works and saves their life. What works for a 100kg man might not work for a 55kg woman, but the underlying principles should generate techniques that work for both. Budo-Jitsu incorporates specialised training methods to not only challenge students physically, but to also instill into the student a special mental discipline meant to strengthen the spirit and to develop the ability to deal with violent confrontations under high levels of stress.
Nothing in Budo-Jitsu is there by chance. Everything as been tested and retested to ensure that it will work in all situations. Apart from defensive unarmed tactics, the system covers knife and stick fighting, as well as disarm techniques for handguns and other firearms. Contrast that to your own system of self defense. While most knife defenses work against an untrained single overhead strike, or a straight-in stab attack, studies of actual stabbings reveal an often frenzied attack involving multiple slashes and stabs. This information is taken into consideration when knife defences are taught. |
Budo-Jitsu simulates real life situations. It teaches people how to save lives and to cope with common street violence. To be effective in the streets and does not include rules and limitations. Budo-Jitsu's approach to countering aggressive armed and unarmed attackers has been developed and proven in real life situations around the world.
Budo-Jitsu encompasses more than just hands on self defence, it has a powerful arsenal of kicks, thrusts and sweeps combined with hard and soft fist attacks and defenses, as well as the use of kicks and punches. |
|
Budo-Jitsu also uses nerves and pressure point attacks, wrist and joint locks, and many twisting and throwing techniques.
It is universal and applies such fighting skills as Thai Boxing, Grappling, ground fighting, knife and stick fighting with many other facets of Combat Arts.

Offensive Measures
Close Quarter Combat is sometimes solely as a means of defence when fighting at close quarters. This belief is incorrect. The maxim that "attack is often best means of defence" is definitely applicable to Budo-Jitsu as the advantage usually lies with the attacker. |
Training in Budo-Jitsu is aimed at instilling into the individual the idea that, even if he/she has been disarmed the fight is not over, and that a hopeless, unarmed, defensive situation can be changed into an aggressive, attacking position with a good chance of success even against an armed opponent.
Our reality based training is designed to work with the natural reactions of the people, therefore, making their response under pressure more likely to succeed.
Training the "Reality Based Training"
The Reality Based training addressed by the system of Budo-Jitsu is the gap in reality between the most realistic levels and intensity of training and actual street or battle field combat. This gap exists because within the parameters of safety it is impossible to simulate a real scenario with 100% accuracy. Training starts with basic fundamental skills followed by progress to partner training at a static speed to imprint correct reactions. Students then move into scenario training in order to closely simulate street and battle field situations providing our members with the most realistic skill set to effectively deal with real world violence. |
